The artist poses as the hardworking, sacrificial Filipina where she gives 100% of herself by preparing 100 mango flowers for others. As a protest against being underappreciated, overworked, and unaccepted, the flowers will be devoured. Bulaklak is Tagalog for flower. The artist is referencing two Filipino songs from her childhood, which are both titled Bulaklak, but have contrasting messages of feminity. Bulaklak by Kuh Ledesma sings of companionship by singing about a beautiful, comforting flower, while Bulaklak by the Viva Hot Babes is very sexual, using flower as a metaphor for vagina.
